“Organization and implementation of ‘Innovation Challenge’ with participating schools for recycling and environmental protection”

On October 16 was held in Kukës an Innovation Challenge with teachers, students and pupils of “Havzi Nela” high-school, “1 Qershori”, “Riza Spahiu”, “Bajram Curri”, “Ahmet Voka”, “Avni Rustemi”, “Lidhja e Prizrenit” elementary schools. Selected classes of the previous institutions had one hour to create from recyclable materials (plastic, glass, paper etc.) new useful supplies to use in everyday life. Educating children about the importance of recycling and the environment provides a path to a greener future.

This activity started with the registration of all participants. Than it was made a presentation of the project and the importance of recycling awareness, especially in Kukësi area. After that, it was made a presentation about this activity and how this Innovation Challenge will be structured.

When groups were properly divided and challenge between them began. This challenge were very exciting.

After one hour of work started the presentation of each group. The good cooperation between them resulted in very valuable works.

After the excellent presentation of each group, the Commission (composed by Ms. Zana Vokopola, Mr. Mirton Resuli and Mr. Indrit Kurdina) meets to take the decision regarding the prizes to the winners from each school and the two cups, for the best elementary school and the best high school of Kukes Municipality.

It is to be mentioned the local media presence (TV Kukesi), for the good cooperation during this activity, for showing up the importance of environment protection.

At the end of this activity there were 9 prizes, 7 for the best groups and two cups for the best elementary school and for the best High school.

The best elementary school was awarded to “Riza Spahu” and the Best high school was awarded to “Havzi Nela”.
